John R. Moton, Jr was elected to the Wilcox County Commission in November 2008, to represent the citizens of District Two. Commissioner Moton is not new to Wilcox County as he was born and educated in Camden, Alabama. John graduated from Wilcox County High School in 1988, and received a football scholarship to attend Albany State University in Albany, Georgia where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice in June of 1992. John Moton is a community leader and has always shown a passion for working with the youth of Wilcox County.

As your Wilcox County Commission Chairman, Mr. Moton’s priorities are, and will continue to be, public safety, accountability, physical responsibility, improved infrastructure, job creation through economic development, improved recreation, and equality.
